One of the most sought-after young performers on the New York City cabaret and jazz scene, Carole J. Bufford recently completed a 10-week solo run at Birdland. Having thrilled Bay Area Cabaret's audience with her show-stopping appearance alongside Sidney Myer, Nicolas King and others in our 2017 Cabaret Spectacular, Carole will make her solo Bay Area Cabaret debut with her compelling show You Don't Own Me: Fearless Females of the 1960s.

The New York Times describes Carole as "...a sizzling cabaret performer who...has a bright, rangy voice and big blue eyes that emit snapping electrical charges. She can be dangerous, but she is also funny." With music made famous by Janis Joplin, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Carole King, Lesley Gore, Dionne Warwick, Jeannie C. Riley and more, Carole celebrates the powerful singer/songwriters of the 1960s. With a few of the Bay Area's most talented artists, Carole will commemorate a time of significant change in America and across the pond, reinventing classic anthems that have never been more relevant.
